Fantasy of Flight’s Legends & Legacies Symposium Series

Fantasy of Flight’s Legends & Legacies Symposium Series kicks off with They Dared to Fly in honor of Black History Month. Join several of the original Tuskegee Airmen as they share their personal experiences of wartime military service during segregated America. This event features open-forum/question-and-answer sessions. Fantasy of Flight’s permanent multi-media Tuskegee Airmen exhibit and vintage aircraft collection, including the P-51C Mustang, provides the perfect backdrop for this once in a lifetime opportunity to meet these brave men.

They Dared to Fly will be held on February 7-9, 2013, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fantasy of Flight’s Legends & Legacies Series continues with “Beyond the Battlefield.” Guests will hear first hand accounts from an elite panel, included a member of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), whose wartime experience prepared them to lead a life of leadership. In this symposium Fantasy of Flight will honor a few who took their harrowing experiences and continued to succeed over adversity; embracing every opportunity to inspire others. This event features extraordinary people including original WASP, and history makers of today. This event features an open-forum/question-and-answer session as well as meet/greet and autograph signing.           

Beyond the Battlefield will be held on March 8 and 9, 2013, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Both events are located at Fantasy of Flight, 1400 Broadway Blvd. S.E., Polk City, FL 33868. The event is included in the price of general admission to Fantasy of Flight which is $29.95 for adults, $27.95 for seniors ages 55 and over and $15.95 for children, ages 6-15, plus 7 percent sales tax.
