New Classes at Tomorrow Aeronautical Museum

The latest news and info from your friends at Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum - March Update 2017 New Classes Underway LEGO ROBOTICS Taught by Boeing Engineers Robotics classes are currently being held on Thursdays from 5-7pm.  The TAM team now has two robots, allowing our team to practice against each other in preparation for competition season.  Ages 9 to 14 are eligible to compete, with select students earning Soka University donated computer systems for at home learning. MECHANIC TRAINING PROGRAM Our Mechanic Training Program starts on March 28th at 5pm. Students as young as 8 will begin training to be an airline mechanic from American Airlines professionals.  High school students may qualify for our pathway program where students earn college credits towards an A&P license and interview arrangements. DRONE COURSE Our drone course is held on Fridays from 5-7pm.  Learn the science behind aerial robotics and the mechanics of flight on state of the art simulators.  On special class days, take flight with a DJI drone. NBC SPOTLIGHTS TAM FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH TAM students continue to make history by dreaming big.  Our newest addition, Isaiah Cooper, tells NBC about his dreams in their Black History Month piece.   7th Annual Youth Air Fair May 13th, 2017 Free admission, Compton Airport Aviation expo and job fair Music, food, and performances Featuring a TAM driven Go-Green initiative… Our annual Youth Air Fair is coming up on May 13th. This year the theme is, “Cultivate Compton, A Go-Green Solar Collaboration.”  Our innovative approach incorporates electric aircraft, solar power, and community improvements with a special twist, helicopter rides.  Come out on the 13th to learn more.  We aim to host 10,000 participants.  Bring your friends and family for a free aviation expo and job fair.  See you then!
