Fourth of July at Planes of Fame

A FOURTH OF JULY LIKE NO OTHER.  HOPEFULLY!

JOIN US THIS WEEKEND

We’ll all remember

Independence Day 2020

as the year we didn’t do all the traditional things – parades, picnics, barbecues, and fireworks.

But we can still venture out and get a taste of our own independence with a visit to the Planes of Fame Air Museum.  This weekend, the “Outdoor Experience”  is a great “safe and sane” way for the entire family to enjoy the holiday while discovering our aviation heritage up close.

In keeping with the Governor’s orders, all outdoor areas of the Museum will be open to guests from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with special discounted “Outdoor Experience” pricing.  Hangar doors will be open for inside viewing, and a number of aircraft will be outside for close-up viewing.  Wear your mask, maintain physical distance, and hear our docents tell the stories of the men and women who built and flew these planes to preserve our freedoms.

As it is for all us, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a challenge for Planes of Fame.  Your patronage and support are so appreciated!

SPECIAL LIVE DEMO FLIGHT

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Join us both days for a special live demonstration flight of our

Vultee BT-13 Basic Trainer

Pilot Scott Turner will make several flying passes over the Museum while Brian Finnegan, our director of Education Programs talks about the role of the Basic Trainer during World War II and the unique history of our aircraft.

The presentation begins at

11:45 am

 each day

Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, we’re limited to only 100 people in the demo area on a first-come,

first-served

 basis.  Everyone can enjoy the

flyover

from anywhere on the Museum Campus.
